Geneviève is an seasoned educator with over 15 years of university teaching experience, most recently at the University of Toronto. Her research interests focus on the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) and evidenced-based practices in educational development. Her most recent book chapter (Brill, 2019) reframes the purpose and value of writing communities for engaging academics in SoTL writing. She currently serves on the editorial board of the Canadian Journal for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. She is an expert in experiential education and, for instance, spearheaded York University's Experiential Education Guide
As interim director, Geneviève provides leadership to a highly competent team to deliver on a wide range of programs, courses, and initiatives to promote and enhance teaching excellence at York. Her experitse is in the are critical policy studies and the political economy of higher education. This knowledge informs her work at York as she facilitates a number of courses and workshops including the Instructional Skills Workshop where Mandy is a facilitator-trainer, the Education, Curriculum, And Teaching Excellence course (EduCATE), and the Teaching Academy. She publishes actively in the area of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning and seeks to support academics wishing to contribute to SoTL and research-informed teaching. role includes leading courses teaching and contributing to the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL). [lightbox_content id="Rodrigues" text_align="left"] Anna has a PhD in Education – Language, Culture and Teaching, from York University. Her research interests include exploring inclusive educational practices, language and literacy, informal adult education, eLearning and issues of diversity in education. Anna also has a background in media having worked in the print and broadcast industry for almost two decades. She taught at an Ontario college for twelve years and during that time developed, designed and delivered a variety of courses for three different programs. She has also been involved in various educational projects in the past ten years which include indigenizing curricula in a college program, looking at barriers to pathway completion between colleges and universities and co-developing and teaching an international field course on social justice that was taught to Canadian students in Brazil.[/lightbox_content][/column][/row]

Yelin holds an Ed.D. in Educational Technology. Her work focuses on providing pedagogical support and consultations for university teaching staff in face-to-face and online learning environment, the design and delivery of faculty professional development programs, and the program cyclical review. She is the liaison education developer for the Faculty of Science and professional studies in the Faculty of LAPS.
Yelin has extensive knowledge and experience in designing and developing learning objects for technology enhanced teaching and Learning. She supports faculty members to integrate technology in their teaching via workshops and individual consultations. She also supports faculty members to apply for and implement internal and external funding, such as York University's Academic Innovation Fund and eCampusOntario fund, to utilize technology effectively for learning. She is actively engaging in projects with teaching and administrative colleagues across York University to develop materials and resources to facilitate the effective implementation of the eLearning.
Yelin is also actively engaged in educational research. She designed, led, and coordinated research projects. Her research interests focus mostly on constructive alignment, learning environment, students’ academic achievement, learning approaches, student retention, and quality assurance.
